Our participatory design studio is looking for interns in industrial design. (And also marketing, jump down ↓).

This is not your usual internship…

The goal of your internship will be to develop a new Ikego set and new parts for the open Ikego design system. You’ll become an Ikego designer!

HARD FACTS

  • You’ll own your set (your IP). No NDA. It is your work.
  • Location: Remote or Berlin-based (hybrid).
  • Part-time or full-time. One to three months. Start date flexible.
  • Ikego will cover all material expenses related to your projects.
  • But → We cannot offer a salary. And we can’t provide insurance coverage. This means that we primarily work with students who are completing a mandatory internship or a remote placement as part of their studies. This ensures that you are covered under your university’s statutory accident insurance while working with us. This is a requirement. If you have this coverage, this is the right place for you.   • Experience in open circular design and distributed collaborative design processes.

No insurance?

  • If you don’t have insurance coverage because an internship isn’t tied to your study program, but you’d still like to work with us to develop a project, that’s possible.
  • In this case, our partnership won’t be framed as an ‘internship,’ but as a collaboration. You’ll receive the exact same support as our interns: funding for materials, regular calls, guidance, and network access.
  • You’ll have a great project for your portfolio and CV. You’ll be an Ikego designer.

Marketing?

Yes, we also offer internships in Marketing. Please make sure to read the information above (hard facts ↑) regarding internships, portfolio, and the network.

But what will your project be? Not a new set, but a new campaign. Ikego aims to explore creative approaches to marketing: Guerilla marketing, hacking, hype drops, and more. No Meta, no Google, no Spam. But creativity. And hopeful activism. Explore becoming a general of the Ikego Attention Army.
